Subject: Protect America's Kids - Ban Candy-Flavored Cigarettes
Dear [Lawmaker]:

I am writing to express my outrage that the cigarette companies are still marketing their products to America's children, and to ask you to put an end to it.

I would like to draw your attention to just a few examples of the candy-flavored products that the tobacco companies have come up with. They have brought us Twista Lime and Kauai Kolada, Winter Mocha Mint and Warm Winter Toffee Camels. Big Tobacco has also given us Strawberry Swisher Sweets cigars, Cherry Skoal spit tobacco, Mandarin Mint Camels, and Vanilla flavored Liquid Zoo cigarettes, just to name a few.

These cigarettes are clearly meant to appeal to children. Why else would they make cigarettes taste like mint chocolate or a toffee candy? The fact that the tobacco companies are still allowed to blatantly market their products to kids is unacceptable.

Please take action to ensure that Big Tobacco is no longer allowed to produce cigarettes that taste like candy. It is up to you and your colleagues to protect America's kids from the deadly effects of tobacco.
