The big tobacco companies are making millions of dollars in profits from selling cigarettes for these kids now, and by turning them into addicted smokers will make billions more in future years - unless we all do something to change things.

But effective federal, state, and local government efforts to help reduce youth smoking are often blocked because of the millions of dollars that the tobacco companies spend every year on campaign contributions, political ads, and lobbying.

KidsBeforeProfits.org is dedicated to providing a counter to big tobacco's marketing and campaign contributions by getting people like you across the country to contact both current elected officials and those running for public office to let them know that you care deeply about the issue of kids and tobacco - and want them to care, too. Together, we can make our voices heard!

KidsBeforeProfits.org is a project of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids a non-partisan not-for-profit group based in Washington, D.C. The Campaign is dedicated to supporting effective policies to reduce the toll of tobacco on our nation's children.
